2017 has been an eventful year for us here at Hofstede Insights. We started the year as two separate entities: itim International focused on our Intercultural Management and Organisational Culture consultancy work, and The Hofstede Centre focused on our certification of new consultants and lecturers in the Hofstede models based on the groundbreaking work of Professor Geert Hofstede.
In September 2017, at our annual #theculturefactor conference in Amsterdam, we merged these two entities to become Hofstede Insights, a single, consolidated company providing both cultural consultancy and certification services.
At the same time, we also increased the size of our global network of consultants by 10 bringing us to nearly 100 culture experts in 40 countries worldwide including a Fulbright Scholar to China, a Professor of Linguistics and many more incredibly talented people.
We also delivered over 1000 workshops across the globe during 2017, mixing Intercultural Management workshops and Organisational Culture projects.
We published two books by our network members: one focused on understanding chinese business culture, the other focused on negotiating using 7 key cultural mindsets to improve success in international business.
Together with our partners, we created the European Union CUBE IN platform and learning circles which aim to raise the overall level of cultural awareness among European SMEs together with Technopolis and ICU net. www.Cubein.eu
We were nominated for the HROne Innovation Award in Luxembourg
We helped to find the most Successful Multicultural Companies in Finland in collaboration with The Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce and the Finnish Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment.
And we launched our #askforinsights where the general public can ask our cultural experts for insights into their own particular cultural challenges.
We will be back in 2018 to continue helping businesses succeed internationally with our intercultural management models as well as helping organisations become more functional internally with the expansion of our Best Culture to Perform award to more countries.
