Anna Carmichael

Anna is passionate about utilizing her diverse professional and life experience across North America, Southern Africa, and East Asia in providing helpful tools for harmonious cross-cultural teams.

about

Born-and-raised in a small Appalachain town, Anna considers herself to be the most unlikely of expats. However, she has spent the past decade leading and living overseas. During university, Anna co-founded an NGO serving rural communities in Mozambique and Eswatini. It was through this experience in working alongside of a local and international staff that she became passionate about cross-cultural competency and its impact on the effectiveness of multi-national organizations. After transitioning out of this role, Anna moved to Seoul, South Korea where she currently works as an editor at a global public relations firm. Her diverse career and life experiences have provided a unique perspective from which she is able to provide human-centered training and coaching in a wide variety of formats — from one-on-one expat coaching to larger scale cultural awareness seminars.

Anna holds a bachelor’s degree in Human Development with a business emphasis and is certified in Intercultural Management with Hofstede Insights.
