ABOUT

Ger enjoys the crossroads between education and entrepreneurship. As a former head of school of an international school in The Netherlands, Ger is used to lead a school with 50 nationalities. Under his leadership, the school has been build from scratch.

In 2020 Ger decided to start working as a consultant, combining interim management in schools with work for Hofstede Insights. He participated in the Intercultural Management in programme in Autumn 2020.

Ger holds a Master in History and did minor courses in Cultural Anthropology and Sociology. He has always been interested in setting up exchange programmes for schools to create mutual understanding.

He worked with schools in the UK, Turkey, Sri Lanka and the Ukraine. Part of his leadership courses he did in the United Arab Emirates and in the United States, at Naropa University in Boulder (Colorado).

Ger was also involved in organising educational conferences. One was about intercultural awareness at the official opening of the new building of his school. The other was called Education of the Heart, where HH the Dalai Lama was the keynote speaker.
