As a business coach and consultant Michael Siller supports executives and their intercultural teams. He creates awareness and builds up the competences needed to turn cultural differences from a liability into an asset. Since conflicts are symptoms but never the root cause of a problem, he reads between the lines and shines light on to cultural blind spots. Michael helps his clients create lasting change and intrinsic motivation by using the energy of the conflicts to shift group dynamics.
In his former career as an actor, singer and dancer he performed internationally on stage and screen over the last 15 years. By stepping into each other’s shoes, we gain new perspectives and deeper understanding. As Shakespeare said “all the world is a stage, and all the men and women merely players.”
His interest and passion for working with people from different cultures started early in his life. Growing up in a small town in northern Italy, with an Italian passport but German mother tongue, led him to question the concept of identity and cultural heritage from early age on. When most people defined the world for themselves by limiting it to an “either/or” perspective, his openness and curiosity always led him to find answers in the “both/and” category.
For more than 15 years he has worked with international teams in Vienna, New York, Muscat, Washington DC, Rome, and Berlin. In 2013 he graduated from the Coaching academy “Passion for coaching” and he is an associate certified coach with the ICF (International Coaching Federation).
Michael is fluent in German, Italian, and English. As a dual citizen (Italy, USA) he calls Europe and the U.S. home.
