Thomas has extensive experience working and living in Switzerland, Germany and the United States. A native New Yorker with Swiss and American nationalities, Thomas has views and insights from professional experience in the business sector, the public sector, in large multinational companies, medium sized companies and as an entrepreneur.
Thomas applies over two decades of experience in international business development with a focus on corporate identity branding. Thomas manages client relationships across cultures with experience working with globally active companies such as Honda, Nissan, Renault, Skoda, Fiat Group, Toyota, Vodafone, Citibank, and Mastercard. Thomas has business experience dealing with Germany, Switzerland, USA, China, India, Russia, most of the EU, UAE, Lebanon, Jordan, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Israel, Turkey and South Korea.
Besides providing insights at the individual level, Thomas applies a variety of perspectives to understand circumstances and phenomena with respect to organisational and national cultures.
Thomas also combines coaching techniques acquired at the University of Trier together with intercultural training through Hofstede Insights. Thomas’ higher education (B.A. Political Science, M.A. International Studies) and international professional experience is built on an interdisciplinary understanding of people, their cultures and institutions.
Thomas is a member of CoreNET, the American Chamber of Commerce in Luxembourg and the Industry and Chamber of Commerce (IHK) in Trier.
Thomas’ wife is from southern Germany while his son is trinational. Thomas’ extended family is spread across the United States, Germany and Switzerland. In his free time, Thomas enjoys spending time with his wife and son and being outdoors.
