John is a passionate Design Strategist with an extensive corporate experience and network. Focussing on Future of Work and how future and cultural spaces reinforce change, behaviour, purpose, belonging and inclusion of workers and enhancing their overall well-being.

As a Workplace Strategy Director focussing on the interventions of "Future of Work" at the global real estate service provider Jones Lang LaSalle (JLL), John's expertise lies at the trajectory of strategic design management, human-centred user experience (UX) and sustainable space design to create behavioural change and trigger corporate transformations. 

He used to work full-time as designated management consultant in various countries for multinationals like Hugo Boss, SAP, The Walt Disney Company and Steelcase in international positions to elaborate user requests and demands through a systematic, structured and creative User Experience (UX) process as well as managed interdisciplinary projects and engagements. He led various large-scale projects as well as focused on high-impact engagements in branding, design and space operations.

Conducted a number of thorough user and market research and being involved in the localisation projects of various IPs, brands and franchises in China as well as implementing spatial solutions for MNCs in Europe and US provided John the exposure to deal with highly complex and ambitious inquiries. 

He joined Hofstede Insights to add the cultural dimension to his narrative and to conclude his resolutions of complex and ambitious business inquiries.

John holds two postgraduate degrees in Business Administration, Intercultural Communication, Sinology and a Master degree with distinction in Design Strategies emphasising the value of design management as a strategic asset in corporate strategies.
