Rodolfo Maggio has conducted research, worked, and lived in different countries around the world. He was trained as an anthropologist, led a research project at the University of Oxford for three years, and was Special Foreign Researcher at Waseda University, Tokyo. He has been conducting anthropological research on values since 2010 when he was part of a collaborative research study in the Asia-Pacific region. He conducted 13-months of fieldwork in the Solomon Islands, in coordination with 5 other anthropologists studying values in Eastern India, Papua New Guinea, Northern Territory of Australia, Fiji, and Vanuatu. In 2015 he was responsible for a Wellcome-funded research study on values in Ireland, where he conducted 12 months of fieldwork. In 2019, he was selected by the Japanese Society for the Promotion of Science to led his own research project on values in Japan. His research has been published in academic articles, edited volumes, and books.

Today, Rodolfo lives in Milan, Italy, where he holds the National Scientific Qualification to Associate Professor of Anthropology. Working between academia and the public and private sector, he is committed to making sound academic research accessible for companies and professionals with a global mindset.

After years of experience researching values in several countries, he believes there has never been a better time to be an anthropologist.
